Let me break down how we got brand new blogs from a rebranded domain (DA: 3, previously dead traffic-wise) cited in Google’s AI Overviews and ChatGPT Search for bottom-of-funnel, conversion-intent keywords, in under 7 days.
This isn’t a theory, this is a real-world content system we have built. And it’s already paying off big time (check proof).
CONTEXT
We recently rebranded and relaunched The Rank Masters, and decided to finally start using our site as a proper inbound channel.
Our main CTA (for now) is “custom content audits for B2B SaaS companies”.
To build topical authority around that, we did two things:
- Created a tightly-knit topic cluster around our core landing page (that we always do for all our B2B SaaS clients). And,
- Developed a new content creation workflow that targets both traditional SEO and LLM-first search engines (yes, including Google’s AI Overviews).
We published just 3 blogs using this new framework. And guess what?
All three are now cited in AI Overviews and showing visibility for conversion-ready, long-tail, BOFU queries like:
- saas content auditing software
- is there a software i can use to audit content of my saas site?
- ai based content auditing software
- which content auditing software is best to audit content of saas sites
- saas content audit checklist
- content audit checklist for saas
- how to perform a content audit for saas
- how to perform a content audit for saas for ai visibility
- etc
Go ahead!
Paste any of these into Google’s AI Overview or even ChatGPT search. You’ll see TheRankMasters.com pop up.

Key Insights
After 10 days of research, prompting, and experiments, I realized two powerful shifts in the content game:
- Query Fan-Out: LLMs don’t just stick to the keyword, they expand the intent by looking at variations and related queries.
- Reasoning-Based Ranking: AI summaries favor content that explains, compares, and guides (not just matches keywords).
We adapted to both. And that changed everything.
The Strategy
Instead of just writing “SEO-optimized” blogs, we built a new modular blog framework designed to satisfy:
(this one we always did) ✅ Traditional SERP algorithms (titles, H1s, semantic, LSI keywords, CRO, internal linking)
(this ones NEW) ✅ LLM-first logic (reasoning, decision trees, query variation coverage, persona-specific prompts)
We reverse-engineered how LLMs understand intent and mapped our blog outlines accordingly. Every blog now speaks not just to keywords, but to the way AI interprets user queries.
To be clear, we didn’t stuff keywords, instead, we mapped intent clusters.
Also, we didn’t write generic posts, we wrote for conversion moments (BOFU queries with urgency, decision-stage clarity, and SaaS-specific constraints).
Our Workflow
Without revealing the exact prompts (those stay under wraps 😉), here's what our prompting strategy looks like at a strategic level:
- Persona-First Prompting: We start every blog with the ICP in mind. Each prompt targets a specific stage in the buyer’s journey.
- Query-Fan Out Mapping: We manually identify 10–20 BOFU queries and map how they fan out semantically and functionally.
- Reasoning Blocks: Each section answers a mini-decision, guiding users (and AI models) from confusion to clarity.
- Answer Format Modularization: Clear scannable formats (checklists, comparison tables, frameworks) so AI can easily lift and cite.
- Built-In LLM Visibility Signals: We seed structured reasoning and explanatory depth that LLMs love (think: “Why X over Y”, “When to use”, “Step-by-step decisioning”).
And yes, we pruned our legacy content before launching this. Content pruning helped sharpen our topical signals for crawlers and AI scanners alike.
Results: From 0 to 49+ Keywords Indexed (GSC Data)
This was a cold-start domain, remember? DA (score) 3. No consistent organic focus. But in just a week:
- 49+ queries indexed in GSC from only 3 blogs

- AI overview citations for highly qualified, conversion-oriented queries

- 100% alignment with our sales funnel (no vanity traffic)

From now on, our goal (for ourselves and our clients) is simple, “We’re not chasing traffic. We’re attracting only high-intent buyers.”
What Does This Means for You?
If you're still writing blogs just to rank in blue links, you're missing the point.
In the LLM-first era:
- Blogs are briefs for AI.
- Reasoning > Keywords.
- BOFU > TOFU.
This is your time to adapt. Whether you're a founder, SEO strategist, or content head, start building content for how AI actually surfaces info now.
